Kashmala Fakhar is serving as the Communication Officer, appointed under the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). With a degree in MPhil Linguistics, she brings a unique perspective to development communication using language as a strategic tool to influence policy, raise awareness, and foster collective responsibility toward child rights in Pakistan. Previously, she served as Program Officer at Sustainable Social Development Organisation, where she managed donor-funded initiatives by different International Donors, including British High Commission, bringing substantial experience from the Grassroot level.
She supports NCRC in amplifying the voices of children, especially those from marginalised communities. She manages media relations, designs advocacy materials, and oversees digital content with a strong focus on inclusivity and accessibility. Her work includes developing key messages for National and International Days, public engagement on policy issues such as child marriage, child labour, and out-of-school Children, and strengthening the Commission’s visibility across traditional and digital media. Kashmala ensures that every message coming from the Commission not only informs but also inspires the public will and political momentum to uphold the rights of every child in Pakistan.
